Peter and his team have just completed our second “bedroom construction” project for us and once again we are delighted with the work. Applewood completed our first project in 1999 and did such a good job that we did not even consider asking anybody else to quote for this second job many years later. The quality of his workmanship, his care and attention to detail is not only a delight but almost encourages one to look for more jobs for him to undertake! We have found Peter to be completely open, honest and totally reliable. He is meticulous and conscientious: someone who obviously enjoys his work and takes a great p ride in it. Hec is marketing a truly excellent product and has every right to be proud of his work. Quality does speak for itself but we feel that on occasion (n too rare an occasion today!) it is necessary to put pen to paper in order to acknowledge excellent quality combined with first class service. The work installed in December 1999 look as good today as on the day it was installed and we are confident it will remain so for many years to come. Peter, we thought we would drop you a few lines to let you know how pleased we are with our new furniture and to thank you for all your efforts! We’ve managed to find room for all our clothes and bedding as planned with a bit of space left over! The pull out trouser press is a masterpiece of engineering and the lights over the bed ideal to read by. Thank you in particular for accommodating our timescales and for your flexibility when installing (e.g. the extension of the hanging space and the mirror placement). It was a pleasure to such a skilled craftsmen working in our house and the passion you show for your work is truly infectious. We had not expected bespoke furniture to be affordable and you truly mean it when you say you want your customers t o be 100% happy with the end result. In 2005, we selected Peter to create set of fitted wardrobes for a bedroom in a Victorian house with hardly a single level floor or straight wall.  We selected him on the basis of being an excellent cabinet maker, and also a nice guy.  We were so delighted with the results that when we moved to a large Georgian house, we asked Peter to convert a bedroom into a dressing room with fitted wardrobes down either side.  Again, working with all the imperfections of a 200 year old house, Peter created a thing of beauty that was exceptionally practical and admired by everyone who visited.

Applewood tackled an impossible-looking task of building fitted cupboards and shelves into irregular stone alcoves in my cottage.  I suspect Peter would agree that this wasn’t the easiest of jobs, and I am still not sure how he managed to achieve such a perfect fit  around all the knobbly stonework.  The quality of the workmanship, the materials, and the help with design were all excellent, and the results are fantastic.  Highly recommended!
